UDP Multicast Discovery
When sender and receiver are on the same local Wi-Fi or Ethernet network, DropWire uses UDP Multicast to discover peer IP addresses instantly—bypassing external servers entirely for gigabit transfer speeds.
WAN INTERNET RELAY
Zero-Knowledge Internet Relay
Across NAT boundaries or firewalls, peers connect via lightweight zero-knowledge relay nodes. Relays route SPAKE2 encrypted ciphertext packets using room tokens (`happy-dog-42`) without holding decryption keys.
